I’m one of the fortunate few who get to beta read Brandon Sanderson’s new novels. The one I’m reading right now is his upcoming 2011 novel, Mistborn: The Alloy of Law.

I was a huge fan of his original Mistborn novels (linked to below). In particular, I thought the first novel in the series (called simply Mistborn by most people, although its official title is Mistborn: The Final Empire). I can’t really comment on what happens or how it compares to the rest of the series, but suffice to say that’s very enjoyable and builds upon the world-changing events of the series finale.

It will be published in 2011 by Tor Books. I might post more when it’s released. But for now, enjoy this image of Mistborn Llama.
