The artwork is by Raymond Swanland, and the Art director was Irene Gallo from Tor Books.

I was pretty involved in the development of this particular image, along with each of the other Wheel of Time ebook covers. Last year when I was reading an early version of the novel, I sent Irene an email as soon as I read this scene where Perrin forges his new hammer. I told her that this was the scene she had to depict.
